The Palestinians never went to your european homes to attack Jews. No.

You came, stole their land, killed and tortured their children and made THEIR flag illegal.

Palestinian nationalism is human rights for all -- Christian, Jew, and the Muslim majority.

Zionism is european, settler fascism in the service of the USA.

It's gross to watch Israelis act like Arab resistance is the same thing as their fascisto-ethnic cleansing.

Found the link off Indyblogs... I thought it was the Israel-based blog "Orthodox Anarchist," but the same basic point remains.

This is not just random chest-bumping. Israel is a military garrison that imposes ethnic cleansing and an apartheid reality. That is the essence of this fight. For decades, Arabs faced prison and torture just for simple possession of their flag. It was not a racist flag, after all -- there are Palestinian Jews, just as there are Christians and a majority of Islamic background, if not faith.

To write from the countries that supply Israel the bombs and technology to dominate every country it borders with a tone of weary neutrality is wrong.

I don't think that means Onto or anyone else so mistaken is "responsible" for the crimes of Israel -- but it does mean they should really investigate what this fight is about.

The ANC in South Africa received extensive aid and support from the former Soviet Union. It didn't mean the struggle against apartheid there was Soviet imperialism and the "same" as the racist settler state.

There is no equivelance.

should really be saying these things about someone you nothing about? hes been to palestine! he protests all the time! he knows the history, hes read about it and studied it extensively. hes active with JATO. his grandpa was from syria! he has "investigated" what the fight is about. he is part of the fight to free palestine. hes not "neutral".

He also lived in morocco and studied/s arabic. and he's not neutral, hes an anarchist, so nationalism isn't important to him, hence the unimportance of the israeli and palestinian flag to an anarchist. But that doesn't mean he doesn't understand the importance of palestinian nationalism.

I know nothing about this person -- I was reacting against the image. I see folks washing their hands all the time... like people are just savages or backwards for resisting. It's such a drum beat, and I'm so angry. I didn't mean to attack any person at all.

The occupation is Haifa, Tel Aviv and the whole Zionist state. It is a tool of US imperialism. Palestinians were jailed for that flag. Because it was a piece of fabric that resisted genocide: the ongoing attempt to erase the Palestinian people. This is different in kind than a flag which celebrates it's racist exclusion and the dispossession of the region's people.

I am so angry and feel so helpless to stop what is happening. It's just going to get worse.

Again, I'm sorry for lashing out.
